Hooper
This is an illustration for a self-penned short story called Mirror Image. It portrays our hapless hero who is strolling through the valley of Orgue-il-Leux one sunny morning. At peace with the world, he is singing a catchy little ditty appallingly badly! His friend, Blind Beggar Bob is following behind on his donkey named Dumper. Bob has stuffed a pair of his socks in his ears to try and block out Hooper’s out of tune singing!
Things get even better when they spot an approaching village with the promise of warm food and cold beer. But unfortunately, things are not what they seem and Hooper’s luck takes a turn for the worse.
